The Wisconsin Agricultural and Life Sciences Alumni Association chose Dr. Barak as the 2022 Outstanding Advisor Award. Jeri was nominated by CALS undergraduates (See picture below). In their nomination, the students wrote, “Dr. Barak goes above and beyond her role as an instructor by providing education and formative opportunities to her students outside of the classroom.” During COVID when classes didn’t meet face to face, Dr. Barak started a virtual or outdoor coffee session to offer advice and keep in touch with students from her previous FIGs. “She has continued to go above and beyond her responsibilities as a professor and has dedicated herself to helping (students) succeed in college and beyond.”
